Functional Build Upload


Towards the end  of the GMTK  Game Jam 2022,  I scrambled to finish up my partially finished game and submit the project before the deadline. This resulted in rushing through the WebGL build process and using a compressed format for the published build, which would result in the game being stuck with a 90% complete loading bar on the Unity starting screen (Unity compression settings are located at Edit->Project Settings->Player->Publishing Settings->Compression Format).  I had initially thought that the game was not loading at the time due to my new more remote location and the use of a mobile hotspot for internet.  I later found out it was due to not disabling the compression format. 

Despite not having a functional build, I wanted to respect the explicit rules of no manipulations or redirects to a more complete build for the review and judging periods. Now that those periods have passed, I wanted to upload my current dev build with its few additional implemented mechanics to document what was approximately accomplished during my Game Jam. This is by no means a complete game (more of a very limited walking sim, even devoid of any challenge), and is just meant to serve as a way to show what the Jam build would have mostly reflected had I been aware of the compression format.

This build includes the following accessible content that was not finished prior to the end of the Jam:

- Player Die Rolling Animation Implemented

- Movement Tiles Hover Animation Completed

- Attack Tiles Added with the 4 Attack Patterns

- Player Health Functionality Implemented

TL:DR Is not game, Is crappy walking prototype for GMTK 22 Jam posted for keepsakes
